Following the release of his first single Swim Better, Gold Coast rapper Forbes returns with Done For, the latest track from his forthcoming EP which is scheduled for release mid year. This unique single blurs a plethora of genres under smooth raps, soulful singing, hard-hitting drums and playful keys. It showcases not only Forbes’ versatility as a rapper, but also his dynamic vocal ability as he seamlessly transitions from smooth flows, to soulful sung notes. Although it may just have been released, Done For is by no means a new record. The song has undergone countless transformations to become the cut it is today. Forbes recalls writing the song all the way back in 2012 but since then it has gone through 3 years of tweaking, re-envisioning and a hell of a lot of fine tuning before being fully realised by Sony Producer Michael Tan. With a cinematic video to match - Done For is without a doubt Forbes' boldest record yet.
