Selma ~ Singer/songwriter Sounds like travelling from the west to the east and you’re not quite there yet Selma’s music is best described as alternative acoustic music with eastern influences. Selma (1982) is a singer/songwriter based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She's been performing on a regular base in the Netherlands since a couple of years. In December 2008 Selma self-released her debut album, called ‘Umbrellas’. The combination of Selma’s haunting voice, the melancholic guitar and the beautiful sound of the Turkish saz, together with the subtle eastern percussion, makes this album a unique mixture of western and eastern music.
