Distant Sun are British Indie/rock band who formed in early 2010 and consist of 4 friends from Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk, England. Brothers, Rafe Garfoth (lead vocals and bass guitar) and Nick Garforth (rhythm guitar and backing vocals) Lewis Hickin (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Paul Chandler (drums and percussion) They take their musical influences from bands such as Oasis, Razorlight, Killers and The Beatles to name a few. Several months after forming Distant Sun played their first gig at The Brickmakers in Norwich. A year later in September 2011 an opportunity to record at Universal Studios in London presented itself after a last minute cancelation, an offer that was too good to refuse. 10 songs were recorded live in one day and the concept for the first album was born. 'Beyond The Realms We Live In' is a self recorded 10 song album and is the debut album from the East Anglian based band. The release date is still to be confirmed but is set for release November of 2013. Work has already started on a follow up album which is preliminarily penciled in for a summer 2014 release.
