What happens when a man plays guitar and sings his song around his son? Eventually the son picks up a guitar and begins to write songs of his own. When my son played some of his songs for me I liked what I heard and I started giving him input into song structure, chords and harmony and big hooks. We met up once a week to work on music. Sometimes we'd get a new song really fast and sometimes we would jam and get a couple of ideas. A year and a half later a new sound was born. Fusing 1960s, 70s and 80s music with a child of hip-hop.. you get McLean & wohl. A father and son duo. The album was self produced by p.d. wohl at his studio in Vancouver, Canada. pd did all the instruments on the songs.. Ryan played some acoustic guitar and sang lead on all the tunes. P.d. added harmonies here and there. We hope you enjoy the songs we wrote. Some we wrote together, and some alone.. but we always came together and the songs improved with the help and care of each other. We titled the album Ride The Bloodline.. blood meaning family.. and The B-Line is the bus near our house in Vancouver that we ride to go east to west in Vancouver.
