"Not Two" is a collaboration between Jill Shaw and Matthew Falk. During the summer and fall of 2011, Jill was living and working at an isolated retreat center in the Appalachians, not far from Asheville, NC. To pass the time, she recorded these songs, backed by various local musicians including Randy Doss, Rafrica Adams, and Richard Wallace. Then she sent the recordings to Baltimore, MD, where Matthew fleshed out the arrangements, added color and texture, and mixed the songs.
