What began as an EP soon became the full length 12 track debut album, 'Permission to be Happy'. Recorded with long standing friend, renowned producer and engineer John Paul at Be Sharp Studios (South Africa), and a host of other musicians and friends, Malcolm King went on a music journey of self discovery. Inspired by personal loss, grief and the grey undertones of a life seemingly without colour, each song flows on from the next; one for each month of the year; and documents his journey and ultimate healing. The collective is a raw, honest offering - 'Permission to be Happy' flits from despair to the silver lining that comes when you least expect it.
