Legends don't need much of an introduction. And neither does the Berlin-based DJ tag team and producer duo Dole & Kom which has been a formative element for the development of the German capital's nightlife and club scene for roughly two decades. Now, the two have teamed up again in the studio for their „Pow Pow EP“, catering another sweet and banging three track addition to the Formatik Records catalogue. And whenever Dole & Kom are out there to play it's gonna be a „Crazy Night“ for sure, this one starting out on a well decent TechHouse level that's mixed up with playful, filtered melodic bass tones, driving snare rolls, squeaking synths and a repetetive, yet highly seductive vocal hook weighing in a little bit of a glitzy ElectroHouse feel for pumping peaktime floors. The title track „Pow Pow“ turns out to be another masterly crafted treat for all proper Disco Tech-connaisseurs, built on a solid TechHouse foundation with loads of glittering synths effects, a raw bassline push and huge breakdown sequence which sees all punters hands go up high towards the sky – which is not the limit in terms of heavenly ecstasy here. Finally Dole & Kom serve a „Beat Down“ menu for the concluding cut which indeed is more of an upbeat affair amalgamating a groovy House beat with super phonky vocals slightly reminiscent of many late 90s anthems in terms of their swinging feel whilst humongous bass signals and a simplistic main motif cater to the needs of the global big room crowd out there.
