In December 2004, Youth Future Data, a youth development organization in Plettenberg Bay Southern Cape, South Africa, received an invitation to attend “The Launch of CDs” by Vibrations Recording Studio at Manenberg in Cape Town, South Africa. Soon after 9 young YFD musicians who had been writing and performing Gospel, R & B, Hip-Hop and Kwaito in plett for many years were identified. And they headed for Cape Town. After attending the live show of the Vibrations Launch, they were invited to see the recording studio, a dream come true for the band. Ipletti Yarocka members were welcomed warmly by the Vibrations team and was treated like beloved brothers and sisters. It was on their way home that day, sitting at a Wimpy restaurant on the highway that a decision was made to make a collaboration CD at Vibrations Recording Studio. Without the support of YFD and Vibrations Recording Studio, Iplett Iyarocka’s Dreams were in danger of staying just that-Dreams. Watch out for their album, soon to be released under the Vibration Studio label YFD facilitates courses in skills for life for young people from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. Their resource centre provides support for its participants after life skills courses. It also offers short courses, volunteer programs, youth club activities, an internet café, and career guidance. In addition to all of this, YFD offers bursaries to those participants who want to further their education. Many of its participants are very talented in the arts and aspire to be successful in music, drama, dance and fine art.
